  With saving the environment officially now Leo's Cause, there's a strong that chance this is going to be every kind of self-congratulatory, virtue-signalling, I've-won-an-Oscar-and-now-i'm-giving-something-back bullshit imaginable.
  
  But we don't yet know that for sure, and if we can't be delighted about the prospect of a Captain Planet movie at this point in our blissful ignorance then we never will be.
  
  All we really know is that Di Caprio is heading up the project for Paramount, so in the absence of any other information let's just enjoy the opening credits from the original cartoon series...

  i used to watch captain planet as a kid, earth, wind, fire, water lol, and if u ask me leonardo di caprio has been in to many 5 star movies for him not to make a really good movie hopefully, and i heard about someone was going to make this years ago but it never happened, but i will be watching this if it really comes out

  Captain Planet is just one of those things that passed me by, don't recall watching much of it at all. But this just seems like a way for Leo to continue his environmental crusade. I'm sure the film will be buried so far up its own arse it will be unbearable. We don't know it will be better than Suicide Squad FantasticMR, this won't have Margot Robbie in very short shorts.

  When I saw this thread only saw Leonardo Dicaprio is making Captain P and thought wow Captain Pugwash, and who would they cast as Seaman Stains and Master Bates. Saw Captain Planet and my heart sank not being a comic book guy I hadn't heard of Captain Planet only heard of the obvious ones so won't rush to see this!
