  Liverpool made it hard work for themselves didn't they, throwing away that 2 goal lead and I was thinking you knobheads.. Let's hope that's the jitters game out of the way and they can play more 'normal' footie now.
  Fulham were also lucky boys to scrape through on penalties, as were Birmingham, but Bolton didn't fair too well did they... Palace were looking ropey anyway so no surprise there to be honest, and QPR hanging their head in shame this morning no doubt...
  
  Cardiff riding high after the weekend, I hope they don't go and lose now to Accrington!!!

  the lower league teams made a good fight of it last night and a few of them were very unlucky not to go through. are you predicting any upsets tonight scotty.

  Morecambe might give Newcastle a game, they're at home as well...
  
  That's the most likely upset I reckon, playing away might make it too much for the likes of Walsall and Stevenage.

  depends what kind of team newcastle put out. this is sort of game they will win by big score because there is no pressure and if they get an early goal they gain lots of confidence.

  that is true. if they go one down in any game they usually fall apart or crumble. could end up being a very tough season for them i think. not much fighting spirit in them.

  No upsets in tonight's games then, unless you count Millwall thinking they would beat Forest. Glad Cardiff managed to win, I though they might have some after effects after the weekend, but it's a game they should have won at any rate... I do wonder though how seriously they will take the cup, as remaining in the Premiership should be their priority, unless they play a blinder of a season and don't darken the bottom of the table. Early days yet...

  interesting third round match between man utd and liverpool at old trafford. in the last few years man utd have been like a magnet for prem teams in cup comps.

  Shame there weren't any upsets, Stevenage did well to take Everton in to extra time though.
