Everyone knows Lars Von Trier as one of those directors who puts out some proper graphic and depraved films - Nymphomanic for example. But his latest movie is about as fucked up as it gets.

The House That Jack Built stars Matt Dillon as a serial killer who goes around mutilating his victims, who are mainly women. One fucked-up scene apparently sees Dillon shooting two kids in the head with a hunting rifle. Viewers who watched the film at the Cannes Film Festival were so distressed that half the audience ended people walking out.

To be fair, I get why those people walked out during the screening. I don't think I could take this movie. It looks like one of those ones that will creep into my day-to-day thoughts and make me really depressed about humanity. I might just stick with a good'ol Pixar film.

The trailer for this didn’t seem like a real film, weirdly disjointed and came off like a fake trailer used in another film or something like that. Not a fan of Von Trier honestly, just does things for the sake of shock value and the films themselves are actually a bit crap.

sadly seems to be the case that if a film is playing the shock card, that it will inevitably turn out that the film, as a film, will suck (especially nowadays). Have heard of the director and have heard of the 'nympomaniac' films. Could'nt begin to tell you what else the fella has directed. As for the snowflakes who walked out of the screening, hows about next year. tell ya what Cannes bosses, i'll make myself free and promise i wont walk out of any screening of any film just because it happens to shock some. Cant promise i'll hang about for to watch any films in their entirety if they happen to be shite though haha. I'll give this a looksee on home release out of curiosity.
