Keanu Reeves & Alex Winter confirm new 'Bill and Ted' movie

It's been almost 30 years since Bill and Ted first landed on our screens and it looks like we are finally getting a sequel.
It's been confirmed that Keanu Reeves and and Alex Winter will revive their characters, Ted "Theodore" Logan and Bill S. Preston Esq in a movie titled Bill & Ted Face The Music.
The pair first starred as the time traveling duo in the 1989 comedy, Bill and Ted's Excellent Adventure and 1991's Bill and Ted's Bogus Journey. Both movies went on to become ***** classics but my personal favourite will always be Bogus Journey. Watching Death play Twister just gets me every time.
Creators of the previous films, Chris Matheson and Ed Solomon have written an awesome script, while Dean Parisot will direct the movie. Speaking to Rolling Stone Magazine, Keanu and Alex said:

I can't believe it's finally happening! I can't wait to see the boys back together! There's no release date as of yet but we'll keep you posted. -

bill and ted is one of those goofy/silly type of comedies isnt it? i been i had so many chances to see bill and ted for as long as i been alive and i still havent seen it, i just dont think it will make me laugh at all but it might surprise me -

im not sure about this movie, keanu has spent 30 years trying to get away from the dumb surfer persona the first 2 movies lumped him with, and now thanks to movies like john wick he has down it, and now to go back to that persona makes no sense to me -

Unless you watched it within it's time then you might find the movies a bit silly for sure but I guess they were back then too, part of the fun was that you had to throw yourself into a world where two high school stoners (never explicitly mentioned but they inspired characters like Jay and Silent Bob) who have a terrible band, use time travel to help them pass a history test. And that's just the first film. Give it a go, you might have fun with it but you'll have to cast your mind back to the feel of cinema in your younger years. -

Yeah but he's more than solidified his move away from that type with roles like John Wick and Neo. To play the role of Ted won't put him back there, he's past that typecast now. -

Is part of the problem that ol Keanu is in danger of being classed as typecast nowadays, yet again. This time as the the kind of persona he adopts in his movies of recent years..not big on laughs, all business, genrally tough as nails (think you know where im going with this)..all in all, a very serious, go to individual. Bout time the fella had chance to flex his comedic muscles again and what better than with one of his most iconic roles/movies to date..a double bill of films certainly atleast in the ***** comedy catagory if not the stuff of legend. Hopefully this will help cement just how versatile an actor he actually is. Glad this is finally happening after what feels like years of 'will they, won't they'. Grand promises have been made with this 3rd instalment..but whats that they say about proof of the pudding. -

yeah fantastic mr i think people like that movie because they first saw it when they was kids, but as a grown man im not to sure, and i just dont think keanu suits a comedy movie could be wrong but never seen him in one -

I'll reserve judgement until I see the movie.
The first two were great, "Don't fear the reaper" after beating him in number 2.
Just sitting here typing this, I'm remembering some of the high points.
"Melvin", "They Melvined me". Congratulating god on Uranus. Great stuff.

Thanks for the nosttalgia, Friday. For all i recall about the existing movies, appears ive forgotten just as much (although i now have 'god gave rock and roll to you' stuck in my head haha). Pretty sure i saw the first film at home the first time but have got now vague memories (but memories none the less) of me and some mates going to the cinema too see 'Bogus Journey'. Mind you, this was back in the day you could head to the cinema, have a bite or two to eat, sort your train fare and have a couple of quid for the arcade..and all that for a tenner or so (fuck ,im old haha).
