  Earlier today i watched the new DC animated Justice League 'Throne of Atlantis'. Has anyone else seen it? What did you think? The marvel and DC animated offerings are a bit of a mixed bag but none the less, i have seen a fair few of them. I had high hopes for this after enjoying the previous animated Justice League movie (Justice League War). Have gotta say, i really enjoyed this one as well. Recomended. Check it out.

  Talking of DC animated Justice League movies, i watched the latest offering 'Justice League - Gods and Monsters' earlier today. The only thing i had heard prior about this was that it was something of a departure as it centres on an alternate timeline / unierse where the Justice League are no so sweetness and light. I really wanted to enjoy this but for some reason, i just couldnt get into it. The film is entertaining enough when it all kicks off but apart from that. Probably one for the die hard fans only.

  I've never got into the animated sides of marvel and dc comic films, thats a few times now someones mentioned it, so i might just give it a go. Gymaddict, is there any show you would recommend as a good starting point? Or even which to you tend to lean towards dc or marvel?

  Just like with most the Animated Marvel and DC films i have not gotten round to watching this yet but i have watched a couple of clips from it on YouTube a while back and they were quite good. Will have to watch it some time along with the rest of the animated films. Might need to keep a weekend spare ready.

  I dont know Coop, Perhaps it was just a little too differennt for me you know. Its entertaining enough (and its good to see a Superman and Batman that dont faff about, they are by no means goody two shoes in this). I couldnt really recommend an animated dc / marvvel television show as i dont really watchh those. If however its the animated Marvel/ DC movies yu are talking about, thats a different story. There have been loads to date and although i watch Marvel and DC, of late its been all about DC for me. I can certainly recommend my favourite DC animated movie. The movie in question is The Dark Knight Returns (parts 1 and 2). Bloody fantastic.

  I would definitely prefer to the films compared to the tv shows. The films just look a lot better than most of the tv shows that been made that are based in the marvel and dc universes. The only shows i would like to watch are the spiderman ones as they actually look quite good.

  Cheers Gymaddict, nursing a pretty nasty hangover, so i will give these a run today. I actually meant the movies, but like you mentioned a series of them, dark Knight 1 and 2 kinda thing. Hangover cure sorted....cheers lad!

  You are most welcome, orionmetus. Here's hoping that hangover has subsided and you are having a chilled one, recuperating from the previous nights efforts (lol) and are watching some quality animated dc and marvel animated movies. I ddwatch the first series of Avengers of Disney XD, Coop. That was pretty good. When the second series (and beyond ) appeared though, the style had been tinkered with and i just didnt find it entertaining anymore so i dont watch even that now. Dont even get me started on Marvels recent live action efforts, cant stand Agents of Sheild or Agent Carter.

  I have seen the first series of Agents of Shield but after that i just kind of forgot about it because it didn't really seem to stick with me. I may have to go back and give it another go but i think Agent Carter will be straight miss for me as it just doesn't look any good. I still need to watch Dare Devil though because everyone has said how good that series is.

  Agents of sheild i gave several episodes of the first series in the hope that it would improve. For me, sadly, it didnt so that was that. Agent Carter i have seen 2 episodes and that was two episodes too many. Dont know what i was expecting, wont be returning to that either. Im hoping that season 1 of Daredevil will crop up on a terrestial tv / sky channel at some point (only because i dont want to shell out for netflix and i really cant be arsed to download it lol).
