RE: Judge the Dredd's

Much prefer the new Dredd to the Stallone version. the stallone version isn't really Judge Dredd, it was just a star vehicle for Stallone with the name attached (he even has a comedy sidekick for some reason). The helmet thing is actually a big part of the character, in the many comics he's never shown his face and Stallone's face is barely covered, and putting aside the comics and looking at it just as a film it doesn't stand up to repeat viewing (at least it doesn't for me).
Dredd while set in one location for pretty much all of it has a much better tone, and the action is much more brutal, and unlike the previous attempt you can tell the actor, director etc actually wanted to do some justice to the character. and the setting gives it more of a claustrophobic feel, plus Karl Urban was much better in the part.
