Who's everyone got for the rematch??
Joshua has shed a lot of excess muscle which will be good as he shouldn't gas so easily but that wasn't his problem in the first place. He recently admitted that he wanted a tune up fight before fighting Ruiz again and I personally think he gets stopped again probably within 6 rounds.

"I can't wait to get in there and fight him. Every time I have fought a champion I have risen to the occasion." Joshuas words in a recent interview. Sad to say he won't rise this time, I see him getting stopped once again for sure.

Anthony Joshua should put on more lean muscle not lose more weight. Maybe he has rushed into the rematch too soon. A tune up would have given him time to recover from the loss. AJ can win if he does not try to trade punches with Andy at close range. Strategy for him would be to make the fight at long range with jab then tie up Andy Ruiz everytime he gets within close range lean on him when they are close with his weight.

AJ admitted he wanted a tune up fight instead of going into a straight rematch which i think is a sign of weakness/uncertainty which doesn't bode well mentally. The strategy you mention is exactly what he needs to do but I don't think he's good enough to do it against Ruiz who has quick hands

Anyone manage to tune into the fight on he weekend?
I came away very surprised AJ was able to outbox Ruiz for the entire 12 rounds and even managed to wobble him a few times. Ruiz looked like he let the life get to him though in bolloning up to almost 300 pounds

Indeed it was a boring fight but it puts the fights back on the table. After Wilder & Fury have their rematch AJ can get in the ring with the winner and unify the division. Fury was robbed in the first fight and I expect him to win the rematch if he can avoid that nuclear right hand of Wilder

I can’t see AJ matching Wilder. I hate to say it as I’ve been following AJ for years; but one hit from Wilder and AJ is down and out!

True one hit and AJ is down but i also feel the same thing happens the other way as Wilder can be knocked out by a big puncher. I'd put my money on Wilder but I think whoever connects first will win

A big congratulations to Anthony Joshua to make history by reclaiming the world heavyweight title in beating Andy Ruiz in their rematch. He put egg on my face as I for one wasn't sure he was going to pull it off. He is going to go on to even greater things in the future. This was great in terms of revenue the bout brought in. I hope there is a third fight between AJ and Andy Ruiz as it will pull in a huge crowd and generate a lot of revenue. Right now there is possible matches with Tyson Fury and Deontay Wilder in 2021 or 2022. By that time he should be ready to face them but right now he's not ready.

All the best for the future AJ.

I categorically do not wan't to see a third fight between these two. Ruiz showed he wasn't destined to be a true champion in letting the life get to him leading to him coming in heavy and getting schooled. Don't think we'll hear anymore from him boxing wise now he has all the money he needs
