  John Krasinski's movie, A Quiet Place has barely been out a month but it's been such a huge success that's a sequel has already been confirmed!
  
  
  
  Since its release on April 6th, A Quiet Place has earned more than £153 million at the worldwide box office. The movie was made for a mere £12 million so that's a heck of a lot of profit. It just goes to show that you don't need a £200 mil budget with expensive CGI effects to make a blockbuster. The movie stars Krasinski and his real-life wife, Emily Blunt as they struggled to hide from creatures who hunt by sound. Here's the trailer in case you missed it:
  
  
  
  After the movie received such an overwhelmingly good response, it was obvious that Paramount was going to try and push Krasinski to create a sequel. The announcement was made at yesterday at CinemaCon in Las Vegas by new CEO Jim Gianopulos. He said: 
   
  

  Quote:We’re already working with these guys on a sequel. If you told me five years ago that an almost silent film starring the very funny guy Jim from ‘The Office’ would have been a hit at Paramount, I would have said, ‘Well, I should go work at Paramount'.

  
  
  
  It is pretty crazy to think that loveable funnyman Jim Halpert is now directing and starring in some pretty gritty blockbusters. He'll always be Jim to me! I've still not yet seen A Quiet Place but I can't wait to see it and I look forward to the sequel.

  Have heard really good things about 'A quiet place'. Im a very, very tough customer to please when it comes to horror, being as much of long standing fan of the genre as i am. Will check this out on home release..see if all the buzz is justified. Nothing wrong with a sequel..just hope like so many a horror that this doesn't become the latest casulaty being milked to oblivion.

  I've seen one of Krasinski's movies before and although it wasn't a horror, it was really well-done so I have high hopes for this one. He seems to be a great director so I'm really looking forward to seeing this. I love a good horror film too. Have you seen 'Get Out'?

  Hey ReedeFox..my fellow horror fan. I know there has been a universal buzz surrounding this and suppose everyone cant be wrong lol. Asi mentioned though..im a very tough customer when it comes to horror. Yeah, i have seen 'Get Out' and, in all honesty, i thought it kinda sucked. Granted the film built at a nice pace but, besides that the film didn't tick a single horror box for me..was not scary, gory, darkly comic etc..none of the all important boxes. I know there was the whole thing with dealing with slavery / race undertones..honestly though, i dont watch horrors for those factors. All said and done..i want to be entertained. The vast majority of horrors nowadays do next to nothing for me. That said though, i will press forward and watch them anyways lol.

  Got around to checking out 'A Quiet Place' the other day. Mentioned before that this particular customer was a very hard one to please when it comes to horror films given the volume of them that ive seen and my tolerence for the goings on. That said, while i may have watched the film on the dodge, while i could'nt ask for any kind of monatary reininbursement..i would like my time back as i thought this was shite. Really wanted t like the film. Went into it knowing that it would be a slow paced, tension builder but my god..i was bored to tears. For what i saw, the featured family was not all that likeable, the effects were ropey at best and the tension building just felt forced and underwhelming. Wound up shutting this off half way through and put something else on.

  a quiet place looks like my kinda of thing i like the suspense type of movies, and i like the walking dead/i am legend type of scary movie to, i have no doubt that i will like this when i watch it

  that monster they showed crawling on the wall, i swear i seen that exact monster in another movie but cant remember the name, trailer looks good though, i still need to watch the first one before this
