Damn, how unlucky was she?,,,just by a few centimetres of an arm (javelin) and a few centimetres of a leg (high jump).
Still the girl done great as usual ,she didnt let her concentration slip and still focused on her own efforts.
Like under my nickname says im a truthful realist, she lost to a real worthy winner overall in Thiam, the Belgian came for the experience and goes away with a gold, how bad is that.Dont know where those personal bests came from but they came at just the right time just as Jess was getting in her stride.
Just hope Jess hangs up her spikes and trainers for good now and just concentrates on being a wife and mother, and c.mon what is there left to prove, she has nothing to prove to her self and certainly has nothing else to prove to us cos we all know what a true champion and legend she is.
Its been a real pleasure and privilege to have watched her career develope over the years, she can leave with her head held high and proud of what she has achieved in her life so far.
If she does leave she does knowing there probably will not be another athlete ever who is so liked and loved and taken to the publics old or young hearts, and dont forget she leaves having won a Gold medal and silver medal at an Olympics and reigning World Champion and one off if not the most famous and best remembered Heptathlete of all time.
Just like the title of the thread says "JESS THE BEST WITHOUT A DOUBT"
