  i don't know how webber hasn't knocked vettel out yet. his smug face is so annoying and the special treatment he gets is hilarious. if i was webber i'd have put him in hospital right after he disobeyed team orders.

  That's the third and final practice done and again you'd have to say the first few positions look about right...

  Qualifying gets underway in an hour or so, we shall see.

  Mercedes were saying earlier that there was more to come from them in qualifying...
  
  Well something's gone wrong because after taking pole for the last 4 races, Lewis Hamilton has just missed the cut for Q3.

  Qualifying has just finished and its a Red Bull one-two with Vettel on pole and Webber second. Out of nowhere, Sauber's Nico Hulkenberg came third. The team haven't been higher than tenth all season.
  
  The Ferraris took fourth and fifth spot, with Massa just edging ahead of Alonso.
  
  With ten of the last thirteen races won by the driver who started in pole, this is Vettel's to lose. We'll see at 13:00 tomorrow afternoon.

  Not only Hamilton missing out who said "I drove like an idiot," "It's the worst I've driven for a long, long time. I'm just sorry for the team." but the two Lotuses as well, what's going on here???
  Massa also giving the finger to Alonso by qualifying ahead of him, and what happened to the supposed tow he was going to get! I heard him on the radio saying Massa was too far ahead... NO FERNANDO YOU PRICK... you were too far behind... Love it, I can't really stand Alonso as you may guess...
  and an amazing lap by Hulkenberg, where did he find that from? I'm not expecting him to be up there for the race though..
  But there's no doubting the Red Bulls, if Webber can get away off the line with no problems then no reason they won't finish 1st and 2nd and everyone else (Ferrari's) can fight it out for 3rd..

  So another win for Vettel which opens up a 53 point lead for him at the top of the drivers' standings. He's not getting ahead of himself apparently but a 4th straight title win is looking likely. Lewis Hamilton finished 9th and ruled himself out of the championship running immediately after the race. He later backtracked on that (never give up etc) but with 81 points between him and Vettel, it's looking a LONG-shot.
  
  Alonso came 2nd and his Ferrari team-mate Massa 4th, something for the home fans to just about cheer. Webber 3rd. Good race for Nico Hulkenberg too. He qualified 3rd and held on to finish 5th.
