Is Amy leaving Thai Chat?
GrandDuke > 31/08/2017, 11:39
Rather worryingly, I received a little more information yesterday from Amy as to her future plans. She has already let slip that she will be leaving the show in the near future as she wants to do more work behind the camera, not in front of it. A few of us, me included, hoped that this might mean that she wanted to produce the show on Thai Chat. Imagine with direction from Amy, how good the shows could be if BS only allowed her free reign.
Sadly, this does not appear to be what she means. She has already been to Japan to follow up a job opportunity so her days may be numbered. Don't know whether she has got the job or not, or when she would be doing her last show if that was the case, but even if she hasn't managed to secure this job, her departure seems imminent to somewhere where she can use her creativity without having rocks thrown at her all the time, like where she is now.
It will be a very sad day for Thai Chat when she leaves and for her multitude of fans. If and when it does happen, the show won't just be left like a plane without a pilot, it will be like a plane without an engine. I suspect it will crash out of the sky and burn. It will be great for Amy and her future aspirations in life, but terrible for every fan of the channel. Like me. I wish Amy well though in whatever she chooses to do with her life. -

GrandDuke, this has always been my greatest fear. Since I've known Amy, I have always been astonished at her talents and her inner strength in the face of all she has been through in life. No mincing words, she is a beautiful person. She deserves a lot better than what she is getting at TC and I have always encouraged her to find a place where her talents are better appreciated and compensated. I know she has been looking at Japan for some time because of family support there, so if it works out, why on earth would she not take it? When that day comes I will be devastated, as I know you and many others will be too. It will be like a punch in the gut, and I don't think watching the Thai channel will ever be the same. We have been spoiled having the privilege of watching Amy's magic day in and day out. I have never known anyone like her and I expect I never will. -

Haha! I think we may be able to see the bruises if the rocks were real. Maybe she could build a metaphorical castle out of all the metaphorical bricks they throw at her (and the other girls too not just Amy). -

I agree derryman that Amy is a very special person and not just another girl on Thai Chat. She has always been so generous to viewers when doing a show and just wants everyone watching to be happy. Unfortunately, that does not apply to all the girls on the channel. Now generosity is frowned upon by the owners where they are expected to perform on a meter. Unfortunately though, callers are now restricted on what honey the girls can give for the money. -

I got a notification that someone had posted a comment in this thread but it seems that it had been deleted by the time I came to check it.
However, the intriguing title of the thread got me to re-read it and it is amazing snapshot of how the shows were 3 years ago. Amy was head and shoulders above every girl on the show and was loving testing the limits of what could be shown. You can see that from fulsome praise as well as that by mikey99 too. Looking back with hindsight, it seemed that I got my wish that she should produce the shows because that is what she is now in effect doing. The key difference between the reality of the present and my dream of what it would be like though is that she is now part of the establishment and it is now her job to throw rocks as well as receive them. Her instruction is that girls should make sure the punters pay to see anything and she has become the enforcer of these rules instead of the breaker of them. She is very thorough in making sure that new girls understand it although we do seem to be going through a slight relaxation of this principle currently. -

Grandduke this thread really confused me. i had never noticed it before, or if i had i had forgotten it and when i saw it i thought it was all new. i got confused when you mentioned Derryman. anyway i think Amy leaving would be bad for the channel. i can see what you meant about her maybe moving behind the camera and i think in the old days when they had 2 cams it was here and we know from comments that have come throught from her nom de plum that she is very much a producer on the show and maybe even more than that. and i think as we have both recognised ( i think on the Frau thread ) that thai chat is probably bettter now than ever just short of staff particularly females. lets hope she can recruit some new girls if only to stop the other girls from burning out.

You are right stjohn66 that Amy does a lot more than just produce the shows these days. I think that she is charge as well and reports to the owners with all the girls answerable to her. She has a lot of power and influence as a result.
Shows are better now than ever before in my opinion but still desperately needs more girl. With the probable departure of Lily however, they need anyone who can add numbers to the roster before the girls burn out. -

going back to what you said about getting a message that someone had responded to your thread but when you got back to it, it had already been deleted. i get them all the time. usually it is a couple of the same names but they are all noticeable because i had read their names before on the eye chart at my opticians. not sure why it happens but they are also a devil to delete from that red letter icon.

Funny you should say that as I just got a notification too about this thread. The name was a new one to me and sounded vaguely like Russian phrases strung together so maybe it is the debris of a bot attack with adverts for Viagra or similar which appear here sporadically. Who knows?
