  this christmas i wanted to get one of either of these phones. but i need help. which is the better phone overall taking into consideration all aspects.

  iphone surely apps, all round coolness and bbm is soooo much worse than imessage in my opinion

  Iphones are for fanboys of apple. Blackberry is decent, so is the i-phone, both have their pluspoints. Still if i were you, Id just skip them both and get a HTC phone. They are ace. all my mates that have them recommend them.

  i have not tried HTC but will have a look into it, not a fanboy and i don't like macs, but i gotta say iphone kicks ass, its just smoother and better to use than a blackberry cuz i know some people who have them, great on the go internet too

  yeah i hear HTC phones do kick ass as the operating system is immense and i also know a few mates and family members who own HTC's also some who own I Phones 4S's gotta say tho the on the go net connection on I Phones do jus out do HTC's on that aspect

  I woudl pick a blackberry just for the fact that Blackberry Messenger has blown and is one of teh biggest messaging services on phone today alot of people are buying blackberry's for the messenger service !

  i would say iphone but to wait for the 5 over the 4s. the reason i say iphone is because in pretty much every independent survey or comparrison the iphone does constantly come out on top. while some htc phones are good none of them offer all the things to the same quality as a iphone. that's not to say the iphone doesn't have it's problems but no gadget/phone is 100% perfect
  
  the gap between the iphone and the others is getting closer but it's still on top for now

  i would say the iphone but samsung are almost there to being better then the iphone. for so long the iphone has won the phone battle because of all the apps however the htc is a phone i really like because of the possiblity of being able to watch flash player so were ever i am i can watch thee lovely women all day and night

  flash on the iphone is a downside but as far as being able to see rampant, it really doesn't bother me. i mean anytime i'm likely to want to watch i have my laptop or pc and i don't ever feel the need to want to watch while i'm at work/out and about so i've never had the need to watch on my phone
  
  and you'd be surprised how little the non flash actually is a issue

  HTC all the way for me, the Android platform (by Google, the software for the phones) is great and is ever improving. I suggest the new Sensation or Sensation XE. In my opinion Android phones (includes HTC, Samsung, Motorola, LG, Sony Ericsson, etc.) are better than iPhone, because they are open source so they are allowed to connect to more devices, and the Android platform is always getting better, and is much cheaper than iPhone (apps included).
  
  In saying that iPhones are also good, so it is a personal choice. I say play around with both in a phone shop and decide.
