  Ok this might sound a bit stupid but I was just wondering if iPhone earphones with the microphone would work if I called a girl from my laptop. Has anybody tried it? And did it work? [img]https://[/img]

  Hi mate I think that they would work when you call I am guessing your laptop doesn't have a built in microphone? & you are wanting to call from the laptop?
  But I think they will.

  Actually, I disagree with jackk - I don't believe it will work as it is. I think you'll need some kind of splitter to separate out the microphone part of the headphones. Maybe just give it a try and see what happens?

  well i don't know for sure if they would work i never tried that voicall or whatever it is called when you actually call from your computer, but it seems like they should because i use iphone headphones with the mic for skyping on laptop all the time...

  Mate I'm pretty sure it would work I use my headphones when I'm using Skype and to be honest I prefer it like that, it shouldn't make no difference weather it's rampanttv or Skype I'm pretty sure any headphones would work

  Oh well, my bad then - I was clearly doing something wrong when I was trying to use mine! Guess I'll have to give it another go sometime and hope I was just being slow

  It might work as a mic if u plug it in the mic plug but u wouldn't be able to us the head phones u can pick up cheap mic phones on eBay prob a better idea
