Is it really needed this early on in the season. Most players are still trying to get their fitness up and now they have to go away with the national team. As a club manager I would be devastated if one of my players goes away and comes back with a serious injury...all that hard work in preseason down the drain...

More to the point, instead of seeing all our fancy new signings in action we have to make do with England v Norway. In a friendly.

And England will probably make do with a draw...

I can't stand international breaks when it's just for a friendly. There is absolutely no point in them. Breaks for world cup/euro qualifiers are fair enough but i'll never understand interrupting league football and risking potential injuries for literally fuck all.

Chelsea may have been seriously affected by this. Heard Costa is out of Spains next game with a hamstring injury, could be a few weeks if its serious.

that will be good for the spanish as they all hate him, i think you need an international break, how are they gonna play 2 games in 4 days when most of them would spend 2 of those days travelling
