The venue itself was lovely but the food lacked in flavour complexity and texture. The steak was pretty good but overall the rest of the food was very average and for the price ticket it certainly wasn’t worth it. It seems the business manages to keep it’s tables populated by folk who know where they want to be seen eating lunch rather than where their money would be better spent.

Big shout out to Donald Glover’s, ‘Mr and Mrs Smith’ tv show starring himself, Maya Erksine and host of other great cameos through the season. It’s not like your typical spy show, it has a very human element and while not a comedy has some great laughs.

There may well have been some eating done on a London jaunt this weekend past. I have never been to a Westfields before, not really the shopping type but there were a few places to eat that caught my eye before venturing elsewhere.

Korean fried chicken burger from Seoul Bird

Pepperoni and Meatball, New York style slices and a Hotdog from True Romance Pizza in Camden.

There were a few missed photo ops; a hotdog from Flippers in Westfields which was not worth ordering. 24 Buffalo wings from Popeye’s in Ealing, you might imagine the state of someone ordering 24 wings was not someone thinking about taking pictures. Finally a Chateaubriand with fries and bone marrow at Steak on The Green in Ealing, it was average and the service was awkward.

This chef tends to annoy me, if you’ve seen his tiktok season on butter you may have felt the eerie creepy intimate low angles and if you didn’t know it was a Michelin star chef then you’d assume it’s was some unwashed mature student who’s obsession lived in butter and butter alone.

That aside this dish looks like it’s going to be the absolute fucking one! I’m getting on this before the warmer months are in, this sort of comfort food calls for colder seasons. Watch the video, marvel and then make it because cooking doesn’t get more simple than this for these kind of results.
