  After the critical success of his debut film, Sorry To Bother You, Boots Riley returns with this TV series about a thirteen-foot tall kid that lives in Oakland. Emmy Award winner Jharrel Jerome is the lead actor and the supporting cast includes Walton Goggins, Mike Epps and Carmen Ejogo.

  I absolutely loved “Sorry to Bother You” can’t wait for this.

  I like that this trailer doesn't reveal too much of the plot. All we see is Jharell's life at home, him venturing out to make friends, buy food and try to find a job. We also get to see Walton and how his character could effect the story.

  This is good, like really good. Boots Riley's anti-capitalist ideology from is music and Sorry To Bother You are beautifully evident in this TV series via live action, stop motion and animation. It's dense on so many socio-political levels but easy to get into due to Jerome's wide-eyed and innocent performance. Epps and Ejogo are great as his parents. Barnes, Gray and Young are brilliant as his best friends. Washington is amazing as the love interest. And Goggins unsurprisingly is outstanding too. I have to give a special mention to the visual effects team for creating a seamless world where a 13-foot tall teenager, six inch tall adults and a teenager with super-speed all co-exist.
