On a particually bad week on the new release front i happened to see 'I am not a serial killer' advertised as being released soon. Intrigued, i managed to procure it, watched it with the fam the other night and wound up being pleasantly suprised..this is actually a pretty darn solid Horror mystery thriller of sorts. Has anyone else seen this? What did you think? Featuring a cast of seemingly relative unknowns, with the exception of Christopher Lloyd, the film tells of a troubled teen with homicidal tendencies who must hunt down and destroy a supernatural killer whilst keeping his own inner demons at bay. The film bappears kto have a pretty minimalist budget, not all of the effects work all that well..but for a film of this nature, suprisingly, its the character performances and sense of gradual dread that make ths so enjoyable. Considering how many shockingly bad films Christopher Lloyd appears to have resigned himself to appearing in during recent years, he does redeem himself to a degree with his performance in this film..he is really good this time round (and a perfect fit for the role he is playing). This is a pretty predictable but still really enjoyable ride.
