Sadly, i doubt the trend will stop, certainly this generation. Saying that i only expect things to get lazier and worse. Original stories and concepts in film making do seem to be a dying breed. That said, he may only be the director but anyone who can make Keanu Reeves cool yet again deserves atleast a chance in my opinion. Given the need to include actors and actresses from the originals in the remakes in some way shape or form i wonder if old Lambert will be cast as, was it, Ramirez (originally played by Sean Connery) lol.
