What loopy bastard is paying Manchester City players on average £5.3million every year. If that is the going rate to see what is quite an immature team get knocked out of the Champions league at the last 16 stage and win a couple of trophies over a six year period of mass investment, I think football should just be stopped.
Manchester City (PL) £5.337m
NY Yankees (MLB) £5.286m
LA Dodgers (MLB) £5.119m
Real Madrid (La Liga) £4.993m
Barcelona (La Liga) £4.901m
Brooklyn Nets (NBA) £4.485m
Bayern Munich (Bundesliga) £4.402m
Manchester United (PL) £4.322m
Chicago Bulls (NBA) £3.985m
Chelsea (PL) £3.984m
I heard another story - god help us if it true - that a Chelsea 18 year old who has never played and won't anytime soon is being paid £20000 a week. That can't be aceptable. Teams like Chelsea have already made it impossible for most sides to compete for 1st team players, and with news like that, it is clear it will be impossible for teams to compete at a youth level. But also, just think about where your priorities would have been at 18 getting paid that - I would have been fucked.
