Thanks for the list FantasticMR. The only ones out of the ones listed that i have seen already are Horns and Chronicle. Have gotta say that i enjoyed both. I can recall the basics of Chronicle, Horns i saw fairly recently (Juno Temple..hot). Both very good films. Will come up with a few more of my own over the next day or so. -

i dont know how hidden these are but i really enjoyed them over the last few months:
- Frank
- The Babadook
- Prince Avalanche
- The Bay
im trying to think of more but my minds gone blank. thats always the way. whenever someone asks me of my fav movie i just go blank .. i know when i click submit ill think of a few more ... -

Hey nyxguy. Frank i enjoyed, The Bay I really enjoyed. On the write up was expecting it to be just another yawn inducing found footage film but i really enjoyed it (probably also because the events could actually happen). The Babadook i loved. One of my favourite movies of last year and the best horror i have seen in a while. Im not familiar with Prince Avalanche though. -

im the same with the bay. i wasnt sure about it but i heard a few good reviews so i gave it ago. it was one of the best FF films ive seen.
Prince Avalanche stars Paul Rudd and Emile Hirsch. Its a small quirky film, nothing really happens but i could have watched it all night. i think it was the performances to be honest. they were spot on. -

Here are my thoughts.
The Bay looks shit
Prince Avalanche was a fun film, to pass the time, not a hidden gem
The Babadook was a piece of shit waste of time and money.
Frank i need to watch!
The Innkeepers (2011) 101 min - Horror
Entertaining horror movie that just somehow works really well

i thought the same about the bay but i really liked it. erm, just looking at the dvds there its kinds hard to decide what would be classed as a hidden gem. do any of these fit:
- Goon
- Sightseers
- Bubba ho-tep
- room 237 (just cause its so crazy)
- The Divide (its a bit nasty but i couldnt stop watching it)

I had high hopes for The Innkeepers. Sadly, i couldnt warm to it. I did watch it to the end though so it did just enough to keep me watching. Thanks for more suggestions, nyxguy. Goon i thought was ok (was refreshing to see Sean in something not American Pie associated). Bubba ho-tep i really had high hopes for but unfortunatly i just didnt enjoy it. The draw of this was of coursee the legend that is Bruce Campbell. Sadly, that wasnt enough for me. I have not seen the others listed. Will have to check them out. -

If 'The Innkeepers' is the film I think it is, I did not rate it at all. Nothing happens for most of it, the characters are all extremely annoying, so if anything had actually happened it would have been difficult to actually care about it anyway. -

I do recall the film being very anti climactic. One of those movies where a degree on tension gradually builds with the hope of a proper pay off at the end that, in the case of this, never really comes. A shame as on paper it sounded like a good idea.
