For some reason people have been pretty annoyed that Zac Efron has been cast to play Ted Bundy in the new film about the serial killer’s life. Something about glorifying Bundy as a bit of a sex god because women will want to shag Efron. It’s a bit ridiculous really and although I find Efron largely irritating, he’ll be perfect in the role because Bundy was, according to people who knew him, very charismatic and handsome.

Even one of Ted Bundy’s survivors came out recently saying that it’s actually a good thing that Efron is playing Bundy, because it shows that Bundy was really was a charming man. Here’s what she had to say:

Quote:I believe that in order to show him exactly the way he was, it’s not really glorifying him, but it’s showing him, and when they do say positive and wonderful things about him … that’s what they saw, that’s what Bundy wanted you to see.

That’s nuts, right? I always imagine serial killers to be these dead-eyed maniacs. It’s so much more frightening to think they can be sexy and charming. A clip from the film Extremely Wicked, Shockingly Evil And Vile dropped earlier and it looks proper gripping. Take a look:
