I tell you what, it's just as well that Jennifer Lopez, Shakira and Pitbull have all pulled the exact same trick on previous World Cup theme songs; because otherwise we might not have realised that Jason Derulo's vaguely latin-flavoured tale of patriotism, hope and unity was even about the football...
Catchy enough, mind.

I'm only listening to Derulo if there are plenty of birds (taken quite literally in the one below) in his videos. Get back to what you're good at Derulo, being a family friendly Chris Brown but with plenty of scantily clad ladies.

So that Jason Derulo song wasn't actually the official 2018 FIFA World Cup Russia™ anthem, it was merely the Coca-Cola Anthem for the 2018 FIFA World Cup Russia™.
I suspect he was hoping no-one would notice, but the embarrassment's gonna be awful hard to avoid now Live It Up (Official Song 2018 FIFA World Cup Russia™) has dropped. The Diplo-produced Nicky Jam tune features high profile guest spots from Will Smith and Era Istrefi, as well as a level of endorsement that poor Jason can only dream of.
Is it any good? Not important, it's official.
