I’ve nt played the games myself but am more than aware about how much those who have played it, love it. It’s always going to be tough taking the storylines from the games and converting them for the small screen especially where such a dedicated fan base with have such high expectations.

Considering this show has been in development hell for nearly 10 years and that both the showrunners have quit after finishing the first season, I don't have much hope.

We will see though. They better not butcher my baby.

The visuals look like a lot of money has been spent on it. Hopefully the writing and acting are just as good. I never played the games, due to having a Playstation. So I don't know much about the potential plot directions, but like with most sci-fi stuff, I'll be willing to give it a chance, and hope it breaks the video games turned into films and TV shows curse. The only ones that I can think of that I enjoyed were the first original Mortal Kombat film from the nineties, and the first Angelina Jolie Tomb Raider film.
