  Its about a wife and her son on a quest to find her husband, a missing TV explorer. Their journey is captured by a film crew as they go. It is set on the Amazon River. There has only been one season and it is a fairly new release. Stars Bruce Greenwood.
  
  I hope they make another series as I enjoyed it.

  It is a program called The River and is set in the Amazon. It is pretty good or at least worth watching a couple episodes.
