  I agree with you humiliateme, I think that was Karen in Californication (from Series 5).
  She was played by Hampstead born Natascha McElhone.

  yep, i did think about cropping the pic so it was just the guy in the background but thought that would be way too hard.

  I doubt id have got it cropped to the guy in the background, but ive seen this episode a couple of times, he was giving tec advice in a french accent

  A clue then, kids prog ran from 1964 to 76 then changed its name to that of the main guy in the show but was basically the same thing, it carried on thruogh the 80s and into the 90s, i have another pic to post of the said main guy but i think that will give it away right away, if no ones got it by tomorrow ill post it.
