  For a clue - that's the shot just as the film title fades in. The director's have been fielding questions on what the hat "means" for years. I'll give up the answer tomorrow if it really is too hard.

  im just going to guess and say is it from a vampire film called van helsing probably be wrong but i have to start some where will check back later to see if im right

  This is probably totally wrong, but i will take a guess at it anyway just on the offchance, is it from Sleepy Hollow?
  I won`t be the last bit suprised if i`m totally wrong, just thought i`d take a guess at it and try my luck, that guess is based on pretty much nothing really aside from i`m sure i remember people wearing hats similar to that maybe in Sleepy Hollow lol.

  nope - not sleepy hollow, so another clue.
  
  Made in 1990 and it had a cameo appearance from Sam Raimi the director of the Evil Dead and Spiderman films. He played "Snickering Gunman". And I think it might be the only film where Steve Bushemi played a homosexual. Not that there's anything wrong with it!

  im trying hard to guess but am having trouble as i was only 3 years old so i think i might leave this one and wait for someone else to guess because the only way of me guessing is by checking google
