  So its the Police ehh! i thought i recognised it but id never have got it, i remember seeing them on The Old Grey Whistle Test about 79/80 i think doing Roxanne gr8, but i always remember Vivien on the 'Young Ones' singin 'Roxanne, you dont have to stick a message up your bottle' fuckin loved that show!

  Me too mate, the 80s just had so much going on... To be honest at the time they were out, I really didn't like the police that much, it was afterwards I realised their music was pretty good and worth buying after all lol. (I do have pretty strange tastes in music mind..)

  That has got to be an album cover by a heavy metal band. Looks like an 1980's record due to the artwork not having computer graphics, today that would be all computer imagery.
  Not sure I recognise it though.

  nice one clitterbug, not even close mate lol... Yes Redman it is from the mid 80's, heavy metal you could say although also described as neo classical metal (I didn't make that up honestly...).
  The person has a slightly odd name, if that is of any help...

  Yeah it definitely looks like an 80s metal album. It's kind of Dio-ish but too cheesy for them. The fact he's attacking the dragon with a guitar leads me to think it's someone with a famous guitarist, but all I can think of from that era is Van Halen and I'm pretty sure it's not them either as I'd recognise most of their album covers.

  You are correct in guessing it's not Dio willis... and also correct in the assumption the guy is a wicked guitarist, and it's not Van Halen lol...
  The guitarist is the artist, he had various vocalists over his many albums, on this one it was Mark Boals, if you know who he is, then you'll know the artist.

  Ok, last clues before I reveal, as I said the guys name is a bit strange, he's Swedish (no it's not Abba lol). This was the third studio album he released.. And as an ultimate clue, have you ever heard of Rising Force?

  Ill put you out of your misery, It is Yngwie J Malmsteen and his Trilogy album... if you like the sound of Rainbow, Dio etc you'll probably like this, and Yngwie's guitar playing pretty awesome...
