  Right then russy this is what i meant when i said the Scaggs conection sounded like this guy Suggs, hes singin here with the lead singer of the mystery band in 2007, 30 years after the albums release, ill check in later if no ones got it ill tell yiz

  So I take that woman is married to Suggs then? That doesn't help me cos I don't know who that would be or the band she would have been in. Were they famous or a local band?

  Alright boys i might have been a bit unfair there coz they are a local band an i really dont know how well known they are outside of liverpool, Suggs used to come and watch them when he was a youngster before they formed Madness, probably influenced Madness quite a bit saxaphones, great lyrics, half the street in the band! he married Bette Bright the female singer of DEAF SCHOOL the album is Dont Stop the World and is one of my all time favs! if you ever see a copy for sale in a charity shop or on ebay for a couple of quid get it, its brilliant, some great rock tunes mixed with swing n big band sound! other albums worth a listen are 2nd Honey moon and English Boys, Working Girls! right ill go n get something a bit less niche!

  from the outline it looks a bit like Paul Weller, but he's not my cup of tea, so no idea as to any of his albums!

  That's a great shout, Russy. I can't get Paul Weller from that silhouette. Not my thing either so have no idea of the album (might have to cheat with this one )

  Right then this cover was a gatefold so thats the back n front you can see, it was released in 1972 and was the 1st album i actually bought! {as opposed to 'inherit' a scratched old 1} with my saved up pocket money, lol, shouldnt be to difficult thats the whole band there! havnt heard it for about 35 fuckin years man! gonna go n see if its on youtube n listen with a tear in me eye, hahaha!!

  There is definitely something familiar about the band although I am struggling to recognise anybody. Lets try zooming in a bit on the lead singer and sere. It's on the Polydor label, same as the Stones or the Who, not them though.
  
  BTW. You beat me to the answer. Work meant that I didn't get chance to Google the Weller album.

  I thought you was going to put another one up I had no idea about, cos you are born to be wild.. I saw the mark 2 band (post Noddy) in Cardiff a good few years back, they still rocked..

  Russy you got it m8 Slade Alive, this is the inside cover, it was quite good actually had a bit of a listen thisavy on utube, wasnt any Slade hits on it, and a few covers Born to be wild by Mars Bonfire and Darling be home soon by Jon Sebastion are good, so Russy 'get your motor runnin, head out on the highway! over to you m8
