  Mixed opinions on this film to be honest. It looks good from the trailer and it has that comedic Guardians vibe to it but i was disappointed by the lack of Yondu in the trailer. The only other thing was with Groot. He was a great character in the first movie but now he is a small boy he just kind of annoys me, mainly the voice. I mean i know he is small but why does he have to have that voice.

  Short but gives a look at what seems to be an expanded team since the first film. Yondu clearly is, as i'm certain is Mantis and a side switch for Nebula too. Can't wait.

  So after looking into it Kurt Russel is going to be playing Star Lords father but they have changed who his father is. Kurt Russel will be playing Ego the Living planet but we will be seeing him in a humanoid form and that will be star lords dad not the original of having him be J'Son the King of Spartax. This annoys me more than it should but will just have to wait and see what they do with it.

  With the release of this new trailer i am now looking forward to this film even more. Looks like it is going to be a good film and each new trailer they bring out makes me want to see it more. The additions of Mantis, Yondu and Nebula should be interesting as well as the introduction of Star Lords father but i still need to see how that plays out as i am still not sure about it.

  Whilvst im guessing having Star Lords father in humanoid form is a departure from Guardians lore, come on..its Kurt Freakin Russell..can the bguy put a foot wrong lol. Not being all that knowledgeable about GOTG lore and only having seen the 1st film and nothing else to do with it..im gonna take this on face value as opposed to comparing to the source material. Cant see myself rushing to the cinema to see this despite thinking the 1st film was really good. Sole reason being that i simply cant be arsed lol...definately one for the home release list though.

  Was just coming to post that Scotty, beat me to it lol. Looks great, Kurt Russell is always good so should be an excellent choice for Quill's father. The soundtrack is shaping up to be very good so far too. Still keeping my fingers crossed on seeing Cosmo in it, for those who don't know he's a telepathic russian dog from the comics. Would make a mental but interesting addition lol.

  Telepathic Russian dog..yep, of all superhero movie offerings or franchises, if a dog of that calibur would be at home anywhere..it would be in the wonderfully nutty GOTG side of things. Perhaps i should take some time out to do a little homework on what led to / inspired the GOTG films..rainy day project me thinks. The sequel's soundtrack is gonna have to go someway to equal or dare i say, best the originals..that was something else.

  Got around to checking this out the other day and whilst i enjoyed the film, there were one or two things that took away from the film for me and, as such, meant that i enjoyed the first film a lot more. The good : The soundtrack (although not as good as that in the first film), the performances on the whole, general entertainment value..one area where i felt the sequel exceled over the original was the humour, most notable from Dave Bautista's Drax and one ravager with an unfortunate name. Theses 2 more than anyone else, found myself laughing away. The bad though : unlike the first film, the bad guys in this just plain sucked. That and with a solid set up all the way through, the films finale was a drawn out, repetative, cgi overloaded but somehow also pretty boring (too the point that actually started to fall asleep. Defiatly worth a look tough as theres a lot to like here but, for me, its hardly the dogs bolloocks that many a person / critic made it out to be.
