  With Cattermole you do wonder if he ever learns, it reminds me of Joey Barton in a different way as dear old Joey seems to be as much of a face ache off the pitch as he is on it, you would think Cattermole would know how to handle himself on the pitch and you could almost forgive it if he was a top player too.

  Though in fairness to him, he's played about 180 games in his career, been sent off 7 times, so it's only 1 red card every 25 games or so...

  I think you could put Poyet in there on his own for a bad week, failed to condemn either of his players for their challenges, both were dangerous and not required in the situation yet Poyet says neither were red cards?? Already pandering to a bad group of players, Di Canio was a nutter but he got it right about some of their players, lazy and not good enough

  To be fair to Poyet I think he has gone in there realising that the precious players have had their egos whipped a bit thanks to Di Canio and is being gentle with them. There is a time for common sense in what you say though and I think old Gus should have known that.

  He has spoken, and condemned both challenges. Maybe he's had chance to look at the replays?
  
  Some interesting stuff about all the summer signings, and a nice bit of praise for Southampton thrown in too. Pretty sure that never happened when he was Brighton boss.

  Fair play to him for coming out and saying those things, probably should have watched the replays before his post match comments but you know how media driven it all is and managers probably seldom get chance to watch a replay before interviews now
