  Norwich last night became the eighth Premier League club to change manager this season when they sacked Chris Hughton and replaced him with youth team coach Neil Adams. With just 32 points and 26 goals on the board so far, he'll have 5 games to save them from relegation. It's a daunting set of fixtures though with those matches being against Fulham (A), Liverpool (H), Man Utd (A), Chelsea (A) and Arsenal (H).
  
  No one will be expecting the Canaries to get too many points out of those but looking at the table after the weekend's fixtures, 3 or 4 may well be enough.
  
  As it stands:
  
  
  Sunderland, with games in hand, could catch them but Gus Poyet's side have a nightmare run-in too. So the key clash is this weekend's trip to Fulham. Win, and they're probably safe. Lose, and the Cottagers will most likely stay up at their expense.
  
  And that's why Hughton's gone. The board held out for as long as they could in the hope he'd turn things around, but there was nothing in the West Brom and Swansea defeats to suggest he'd be able to improve matters in time for this weekend, let alone the irrelevant (for now at least) final four fixtures.
  
  If, as is often the case, the managerial change can give Norwich a short-term boost then this was the right decision. Neil Adams has got one game to save their season...

  I think not in my opinion, looking at there fixtures going into the end of the season regardless of manager there will be a massive struggle. Bringing in another manager for those games is pointless cause they will be a dead man walking in essence. Should of let Hughton see it out, if he kept them up then hats off, if not then he would of gone at the end of the season and allowed the new manager an easy run in and more time to adapt.

  If they beat Fulham then they're probably safe. Hughton didn't look capable but if Neil Adams can give them a boost for that one game he's done his job.
  
  Then Malky Mackay can take over in the summer, probably.

  I don't think it really makes a difference when you sack the manager, if it's not working, it's not working. No point in continuing with something you think is doomed to fail. There's also no pressure at all on the new guy as nobody expects them to win all their remaining games
