Given the success of the two Villeneuve films, and the potential for a third instalment. It's no surprise that Warner Bros have greenlit a TV show prequel about the origins of the Bene Gesserit, set ten thousand years before we meet Paul Atreides. The production values look almost as good as the films and they've assembled a stellar cast that includes Emily Watson and Mark Strong.

Being on par or exceeding Villenueve's films was always going to be a tough task. The cast, costume and production design are all strong. The writing could've been a bit sharper.
