  Either because of dis-interest or because they were just too hard, which games did you just never make it to the ending?
  I'm curious, as someone whose had a fair few that just ended up getting abandoned for whatever reason.
  
  I remember struggling through part of the "Lost" game (yes that really existed), it wasn't even that difficult it was just such a meh game i couldn't be bothered to even keep playing to see the end. Honestly i don't know why i expected more from a tie in game.

  there has been many games that ive lost interest in, before even getting close to finishing them, however probably the most high profile ones for me was
  
  Batman Arkham Knight, just seemed really complicated at times, and i decided to give up about 2 hours into the game, and partly cause i was working alot of the time i just never had the patience for it.
  
  GTA 4, i think i gave up shortly after meeting playboy x, i dunno why i just couldnt be bothered to finish it lol, i had no issues when it came to finishing GTA 5 even did the story mode twice

  I almost didn't finish GTA 4, it took longer than all the others have took me to complete. As with you, no such problem with GTA 5, i think 4 was just too toned down compared to the others.
  I had no such problems with Arkham Knight.
  
  One i gave up on, The Evil Within, opening was ok but not far in i got bored and it was a bit of a chore for me to play so traded it in after about a week.

  i think my attention span for open world games have gone in recent years, so unless its got a gripping story to keep me hooked like GTA 5 did, i dont think its gonna keep me entertained and the game will end up either collecting dust till when i can be bothered to pick it up and grind through it, or traded in. i think its because of the emergence of all the tell tale games that have come out that have made me change the way i play storied games,
  
  Evil Within i saw the trailer and gameplay and said this looks good however it will scare the shit out of me and probably be too hard lol,
  
  another game i didnt finish was the deadpool game when it had come out on xbox 360, it felt too repetitive and traded it in within a week

  I like open world games usually, just GTA 4 was the weakest of the series in that respect (the environment seemed empty and dull). And combined with characters i didn't much like it made it hard to compete. GTA 5 was very much a return to form for me. Fallout New Vegas was another open world game i gave up on part way (complete opposite to Fallout 3, which i loved and played through repeatedly).
  
  I wasn't particularly scared by Evil Within, was just a bit of a slog to play through.

  The only games i can remember that i have not completed were the first lost planet game, too human, sacred 3 and Halo wars. The first two i never finished because i just really didn't enjoy then and they were just bad games. Played in total like 10 minutes of each before giving up. Sacred 3 i gave up on because i couldn't be arsed to finish it and it was pretty boring and then Halo wars i didn't finish because i don't really like strategy games.

  oh how could i forget i never finished Halo 3 lol, i got stuck somewhere on a stupid buggy, had shitty weapon going against alot of enemies to which i couldnt be bothered to finish it
  
  or Mass Effect 1, just seemed too long, like their was a story but it never really made me want to go play or finish it.

  I'm going back a bit with this one, but i never did finish Heart of darkness, this was on PSone. Though i did replay it and try again to complete it on my PS3 a few years ago. That game was fiendish, two discs and had a difficulty level somewhere between near impossible and actually impossible. On my last attempt i got to the start of disc 2 and immediately died, which repeated for about a dozen tries before i gave up again. The best part about that is the age range for the game included an age where they wouldn't have gotten anywhere if they were actually at the lowest end.

  im not a big platform/fps or adventure gamer, so when it comes to games with big stories or lots of shooting if the gameplay mechanics are too difficult for me i will just give up the moment it gets difficult lol
