  Really excited for the new season and agree that the character last seen with Brienne is probably alive, though I'm still wondering why she'd let him live, maybe to let him suffer? Regardless I'm glad that the trailers don't show too much, film ones tend to give too much away these days.

  The powers that be behind thrones are usually pretty good at only giving us the vaguest of ideas about what is going to happen in the respective upcoming season. Have read an interview from the show runners where they state they believe this is the best season yet. They openly admit that previous seasons have, at times, lagged. In contrast they promise season 6 doesnt contain even one inferior episode. Mind you, suppose they have to say that haha. Supposedly this is the first series to completely break away / go ahead of the books.

  I think they've said it's the best season every year, they could still mean it but still it's not a new thing for them to say.
  Yeah this season isn't based on any particular book, because they have officially passed the books. And based on comments by George R.R Martin it's not hopeful for the book series to be finished before the show is either (he said something like if they go for 10 season there's a possibility, and as far as I know they don't plan to go that long and he didn't sound confident about it anyway).

  Well that's especially gutting considering that season 6 is already almost upon us. I do hope the show keeps on going but at the same time there's gonna come a point when the fans are gonna start screaming out for a conclusion. I have just started watching season 5 again, just in time for season 6.

  OMFG, not that i ever lost interest but after watching just the first couple of episodes of season 5 on dvd (as a reminder leading into season 6 + discs needed checking) but we promptly steamrolled ahead and watched the whole season over a few days. Recalled it being an awesome season, rewatching confirmed it. Now im even more pumped for the start of season 6..just over 3 weeks to go.

  Well the ending was told to the show's writers, at least roughly by George R.R Martin (something he did before going back to not writing the bloody book). I think the writers know how they want to end it and it's up to them how long they take to get there.
  I'm hoping some characters they've missed will appear in some way before the end though.

  Talking about characters missed or missing, im glad to see Bran returning this season after we last saw him chatting to that old dude under that tree. Have heard that despite what happened to Arya she is going to see a lot more action this coming season. Another tit bit concerns a supposed large battle sequence during the season at some point. The powers that be say this is going to be the largest to date by far and will, supposedly, actually show the battle (as opposed to the start and the aftermath which is really annoying..Stannis during season 5 springs to mind).

  Doesnt really present with a tremendous amount of new footage but heres another and presumably last teaser trailer for Game Of Thrones season 6. Shouldnt imagine there will be anymore now as in a couple of days its finally here. Cant wait.
