I don't like Gary Neville but he was right the backtracking the big 6 made when they realised that their fans would not stand for it and the wider football world was condemning them there was only one result. Just imagine the last 2 games of the season fans back in the grounds no chairman or chief executive would have the balls to sit in their padded seats they are gutless. I am not shocked by Man Utd wanting to be in it as the Glazers have invested nothing in the club apart from borrowed against the name and assets. Liverpool owners have let themselves and the fans down badly by thinking they could get away scot free. I am glad Brighton have a true fan as chairman with him being 3rd generation to be involved with the club. I understand the Premier League is a business and all the clubs are but did any of them think they could get away with this REALLY? -

I dunno Burns they must have expected a backlash. Maybe not one as strong as this, but even so they'd have still been on to a good thing financially. All those new supporters from far off lands would make up for the ones lost closer to home, and I reckon enough 'legacy fans' would have eventually come round to the idea too.
A fair few players came out against it yesterday though, I wonder if that's what killed it off? Not much of a super league if no one decent wants to play for you is it? -

Absolutely look at Rashford, Henderson and Milner basically saying no way and with social media as it is it was bound to fail. Would the players want to go down the Kerry Packer boulevard and be banned from all international and domestic football for years until they saw sense. Maybe they would have joined a lesser team to avoid this. Proud of Brighton to act with dignity and decorum by making their feelings known on and off the pitch. Good to see all the grovelling but the 6 clubs have alot of making up to do. -

I'm glad Millner spoke out on this subject he got nothing much to lose so I get why he spoke up. Nice to see more football people speaking up against the big money people, but in least this has come to the end for now. Won't surprise me if they try to bring this up again in the not so in far future as this keeps going away and the coming back in a new form, maybe there try to do something like this in the summer months instead now. In least for now it gone away but UFEA at the same time yesterday have just made the champions longer and more games with there new changes for more money lol. -
