The talk is that Carl Froch's next fight will be with james Degale. So much for the big American fights that Froch was looking for, this seems like a no win situation for Froch.

Froch holds all the cards or at least he should do, One last hurrah out in Vegas is what he wants to do, the purse will be astronomical and it would be a jolly with the lads to cheer him on...Bring it on

I don't see the point in him fighting degale if he only has 1 or 2 fights left in him. Degale isn't a marquee name to end his career with, if he wins he gains nothing unless degale destroys the division for next 5-10 years which is very unlikely.

Degale is a bum fight for Froch, makes no sense at all

He needs to try and get the Andre Ward rematch and get it in Vegas, thats the only fight that really makes sense for him before he retires

    I agree

Degale is mandatory challenger for Froch's IBF World title so I think he needs to fight him just for the sake of his legacy. The reasons he raises for not wanting to fight degale are fair enough but whoever Froch fights next better be a huge name and in Vegas. Andre Ward rematch or Golovkin stepping up from middleweight would be a huge fight, although I reckon that Froch would lose both of those.

Froth has said its 60-40 in favour of retiring now. He's not gonna fight ward or golovkin , ward doesn't need it and pointless fighting golovkin cuz he'd get destroyed. He wants a winnable fight against a decent name in Vegas.

I would like to see DeGale get a chance to be beaten by Froch, that's the only result I see as I said before the first Froch-Groves fight, Cobra is class above both of these two in terms of heart and fighting spirit. Don't see it happening though, Froch is woefully short of options of options other than retirement now
