Free minutes- question
bigdickm > 04/11/2011, 21:10
Hey guys
Do you still get marketing texts sent to your phone after using free minutes? This happened to me about a year ago when I did the 5 free minutes thing and drove me mad because they were awkward to stop, and might put me off doing the new free minutes thing. Cheers -

i used to get them when i called the normal number, but stopped them very easily. since using the free number with my points i've not received a single txt (although i have only called two or three times with the free number as i just don't call that much) -

Good Question... Keep me in the loop for the answer.. I would be interested to know how the marketing messages would come through if I used my landline? Or is it just mobiles that it hits... Obviously, Texts can be sent to landlines now. So...
Thanks

you get nothing if you use a landline and if you use a mobile you just reply with "stop" or "stop all" i thought that was common knowledge as it works for any and all txts from company's as they are legally required to pay attention to it. of course the other option is to contact you service provider and ask them to stop the txts. either way it's pretty straight forward -

I just got to 10 points (ie) my first 10 points... And the top of my page is now showing redeem now.. If I were to keep on going to 20 points or something would that give me 2 mins or do I have to use 1 minute at a time?

apparently no one on this site uses the search feature anymore, so i'll tell you this once but that question has been asnwered already a few times.
you can save up as many points as you want and redeem them whenever you want, you can either save them up here and redeem them into your account in one go, or you can click redeem every time you get 10 points and collect them all up in your account balance. points can be used however you want, you can either call up for one long call and use them all in one go or you can call up multiple times until your points run out. if your points run out and you're on a call the call will end unless you have a card registered in which case it will start charging your card. when you log in to the little box near the top on rampant.tv it will show you the number to call, your pin number and your account balance. if you will always be calling from the same phone then when you call for the first time and put in your pin you can tell it to remember you and then just save the free number and if you call in future from that same phone you wont need to go through putting in your pin again and it will take you straight to the main menu -

basically making posts like that one is a good way of making sure you don't get any reputation, or at least not positive.
it makes no difference to your points the amount of rep you have, but if you do build up a lot of negative rep you will more than likely get points removed or possibly get banned from the site if you've gotten tons of negative rep for valid reasons.
the way you get positive or negative rep is by other users choosing to give it, or take it away from you when you either do something they think is out of order etc... or when you do something they like/appreciate.
