When it comes to calling by free minutes or credits it's different numbers, so when your free minutes run out the call cuts off & doesn't start eating into your credit balance

quick update, sirwanksalot86. Fired up rampant today and a after a little while left loading, boom, the fire call / pc call bar is back. Not sure how or why but it is a relief. Namely as chrome is all well and good but it no longer provides vista updates so presumably would on be a matter of time before that would be unusable for the video player on rampant.
