So there's this film on the way - starring Matt Damon as Carroll Shelby and Christian Bale as Ken Miles - all about Ford's efforts in the mid 60s to wipe the stupid Le Mans grin off Ferrari's stupid Italian face (spoiler alert: they were successful).

And it looks alright.  And the way they broke Ferrari's spell of dominance is definitely a story worth telling.  They were, and indeed remain, actual Ford though, so maybe calm it with the plucky underdog schtick a little, eh lads?

Ford v Ferrari gon' be in cinemas November 15th.

Ford GT40 aka a Lola built in the UK. Only last Le Mans winning model was a US car. Ford's marketing machine worked a treat.

The trailer looks a lot better than expected i must say, i'll definitely give it a watch. The GT40 was my favourite car back when I used to play Gran Turismo on PS3. I love the modern day versions with their huge spoilers, makes them look epic.

My tip is to put €5 on Ford if you can get 5 to 1.
