FOR SALE: 1956 MASERATI 450S PROTOTYPE
Stirling Moss again, Juan Manuel Fangio too. They both managed to crash this. Moss at the 1956 Mille Miglia after the brakes failed and Fangio a year later at the same event. There was also a retirement at the 1957 Buenos Aires 1000 KM owing to transmission problems.

Don't let that put you off though. It was restored in the 80s and apparently works fine now, but even if it doesn't it'd be worth having just to look at it...

It goes under the hammer soon in Monaco and is expected to fetch somewhere between $5.5 million and $7.5 million.
