FLAKKA - THE NEW DRUG THAT TURNS PEOPLE INTO VIOLENT ZOMBIES

There's a new drug in town and it's turning users into insane zombies.

The synthetic drug, known as Flakka or Gravel is highly addictive and causes paranoia and psychosis. It is closely related to bath salts, a synthetic cathinone that police have link to a face eating attack that happened four years ago. Austin Harrouff, a 19-year-old  student, stabbed a married couple to death in Florida before chewing off the mans face. Police believe he was high on Flakka at the time.



The man-made drug is manufactured in China and started to soar in popularity around 2013. There's nothing remotely natural about flakka. The pharmaceutical name for it is a-Pyrrolidinopentiophenone. Flakka comes as a foul-smelling white or pink crystal that users can snort, eat, inject or vape.



Flakka apparently has similar effects as cocaine and methamphetamine but cost a lot less. It's also 10 times more powerful than cocaine and way more potent as Flakka is completely synthetic whereas coke is naturally derived. The high you get from flakka is really powerful and takes a lot longer to come down.

Flakka is known to spike your body temperature up to 104 degrees which is ridiculously dangerous and can have dire consequences. It can cause kidney failure, heart attacks, strokes, aneurysms, or heart failure.

People who use flakka will say that at first they feel euphoric, sociable, more focused and have an increased sex drive. But the high will wear off pretty quickly, leaving users to up their flakka usage. For the more seasoned flakka user it can lead to something known as 'excited delirium' which causes hallucinations, paranoia, increased strength and hyper-stimulation. It can make people extremely violent and psychotic which was definitely the case for Austin Harrouff.



This shit sounds fucking horrific and if you like to get a bit buzzed on a Saturday night, stick to booze and leave all this synthetic shit well alone.
