The latest rankings have just been released and it's not good news for England. They drop to 17th, their lowest position in 12 years.

So Spain remain top, a position they've occupied since August 2011. Brazil would probably be higher too were it not for all the friendly matches they've played as a result of not having to qualify for the 2014 World Cup. They're hosts innit...
Wales (52nd), the Republic of Ireland (59th) and Scotland (63rd) have all slipped. In fact the only home nation to climb are Northern Ireland (up 23 to 86th), despite that embarrassing defeat to Luxembourg earlier this week.
