I want to throw a bone on contention in to this thread. While all of your nods to girls here are correct, a lot of whom have been mentioned are no longer working. More over is the uk generating much in the way of new talent at all?
Btw I'm not catagorising pornstars here as girls who do the babe shows or the odd bit of solo girl video, I'm talking about Girl/Girl movies and higher. -

good question,,the answer is a simple one,No,we have been left behind by eastern europeans and the states :( gone are the days when we had a full crop of tasty treats,like,,Poppy Morgan,Dani o Neal,Linzi Drew,Mary Millington,Charmaine Sinclair,Carmel Moore,Natalie Heck,Roxy Jezel,,the girls today are not in the industry to make a name its completely different today,1 scene make a fortune then disappear :s its the industrys fault looking else where for talent

I have to agree with you Gooner. I would also say that the Babeshow industry that has thrived for many years also has something to do with it and more recently cam sites. You get girls like Chessie Kay, Harmony Reigns, Victoria Summers, Jasmine Jae etc still making content but that pool of UK girls is getting smaller and smaller.
By the sheer size of our country we have a lot less scope for talent than Europe and the US, for years now our Babeshows have paid girls to appear performing phone sex without having to go the extra mile and make movies, most only making them if babe show worked dried up or for their own websites along with the shows. We saw a growth in Babe shows but a decline in UK produced porn compared to the days of when TVX and The Adult Channel at their most popular.
With the arrival of better internet came the cam sites and again where's the need to have sex on camera if you can perform solo, in your own home with no one to tell you when to work and continuing with it if you were found to be popular enough to make it work for you. It would seem that the only reason to move into an adult movie career now would be to boost your profile so that your cam traffic was higher and you could command more money per minute.
This is now possibly true of the US and European markets too but in it's infancy and with a greater amount of girls so we'd see a slower decline in their production of adult movies. Who knows what the future holds for those markets with tube sites already being an issue for content producers but with the arrival of VR, well once you can have a cam girl digitally in your living room with an immersive experience, who wants to just sit and watch a movie? -
