  i honestly wouldn't bother with blue ray though, it's been well documented that things will be moving to digital downloads once the infrastructure is in place so blue rays will just go the way of beta max, mini discs and hd-dvd's

  See i much prefer Blu Ray and Dvd to digital downloads i`d rather have a physical copy of a film on a disc rather than just a download which can be lost if your computer or whatever just stops working unexpectedly and you wouldn`t be able to get the films back.
  
  I don`t buy series on blu ray though, buy films on blu ray, series are more expensive, so i`ll be getting Farscape on dvd eventually when i can afford it (just a small part so my post is sort of on topic)

  yeah i agree about liking the physical item, but that's what i mean about getting the infrastructure in place as the plans are, eventually, that it will either be that you download the films and then if something happens you just download them again for free, or there will be cloud storage so you couldn't lose them or it would just be flat out streaming and once you'd "bought" the film all future streaming would be free, but all of those options rely on everyone having access to extremely high speed connections etc.. which currently flat out isn't available in a lot of places and in others it's very expensive or there's heavy restrictions on download limits, but i still stand by not buying blu rays personally.
  
  i think if i happened to own a ps3 then i might change my mind but as i don't own one nor do i intend to get one at any point then i wouldn't pay for a player (even though they're very cheap now) and then have to get my collection on blu rays, especially as my current film collection is over 780 films all of which are digital so they're pretty much blu ray quality anyway, i think if you looked at the details on paper they might not be blu ray quality but i defy anyone with human eyes to tell the difference lol.
