  Biggest crock of shit I've ever fucking heard of. Next thing we'll suffer is complete cover up on the babeshows....girls will have to wear full length trench coats...a wooly hat and wellies.

  This is a bee in my bonnet too. Who would have thought I would ever be a fan of Ann Widdecombe!! When she was on Big Brother she was talking about her view of today's feminism. She thinks exactly like I do. She believes that equality is about the sexes being EQUAL, not about giving women preferential treatment over men. That unfortunately is how the world is heading currently.
  
  You only have to look at TV shows. Men are topless frequently, women are rarely. Guys are shown naked (from behind usually but often including bollocks) on a regular basis on mainstream TV but women are not shown that way except very exceptionally. Geordie Shore would show guys naked in nearly every episode when the girls were just as naked in the same scene, but their bits were blurred out.
  
  Male strippers are regarded as funny whilst secretly making women horny but female strippers are called sluts by the same women and regarded as sleazy top shelf entertainment for men. 
  
  The list of examples could go on forever so I will just mention Benny Hill. He was prime time family entertainment at 8pm on a Wednesday night. No-one was offended and people enjoyed the show whatever their age or sex. He was a world comedy superstar with the show being shown in over 100 countries. Now though he is banned from TV and has been for many years since political correctness (sorry - stupidity) took hold of the world like a disease.
  
  As Ann Widdecombe has said, the world has gone mad. The F1 and boxing match girls are just further examples of our madness. Complain and you are called a dinosaur or a misogynist. You cannot win.

  Context innit @tilly-fan. The babe channels literally exist for those in pursuit of girls who aren't wearing much.  F1's got more of a motor racing vibe about it, or at least that was my understanding until recently.  
  
  And @GrandDuke, what's the exact point in history you'd have us return to?  Shall we call it 1975?  Good luck checking out Amy, Nana and the lads on an internet babe show from back there.
  
  Maybe not all change is bad, eh?  Unfortunately we can't pick and choose.  
  
  Anyway, as I've said before on the thread, this anger at some shadowy PC brigade is mis-placed.  It's just the female half of the world's population have more spending power than a minority of problem wank cases.  Makes all sorts of business sense to re-frame their role in and relationship with the sport.

  To elaborate further. The context in which I'm referring to... Is the fact the female form in all its glory is becoming a matter of shame to look upon.
  Glamour is something that most people admire... It's pretty much dependant on how tasteful it is that can annoy people.
  Grid girls look hot.... Once page 3 went AWOL... Everything else glamour related is following suit.

  The girls were more interesting than the cars for me so I doubt I will be tuning in any more. Shame really as some of the girls were absolutely stunning and they may have limited options now for employment, seeing as similar jobs are increasingly hard to come by. Everyone seems to be a loser here as I hardly think they will attract more women to the sport by their absence. They will certainly attract less men in my opinion, myself included.

  I love the grid girls and they make any motor sport event ive been to more interesting. The girls are lovely and bubbly

  Yes they add a real touch of glamour and beauty to the event. Now replaced by a bunch of hairy, oily mechanics who do nothing for me. OK then, call me picky.

  In a similar vein, the beauties who attend car shows abroad are simply stunning and make the entire event worth going to in my opinion. They are the honey there to attract the men who eventually may buy be lulled into forking out for a new motor.
  
  If they disappear too, I expect car sales to crash.
