PFA chairman Gordon Taylor says, "It's shocking, disgusting and appalling!", however Reds' boss Brendon Rodgers was somewhat evasive when questioned by the media in his most-match interview saying, "Until i have seen the footage for myself, i would rather not comment on the matter."

The post-match phone-in shows on BBC Five Live and TalkSport were inundated last night with angry football fans baying for blood. One supporter from manchester was typical of many that phoned in, seething with self-righteous rage. He urged the F.A. to do to Borini what the allies had done to mussolini at the end of the WWII, and "...hang the Liverpool forward. Biting your own hand is a disgrace! Interesting statement ian ducan smith came out with a few weeks back about surviving on £53.00 a week. Interesting word, "survive". That's just what the tories want.
