  I think barring jason statham the acting star power in this film finished nearly 20 years ago. It's just a bunch of old guys looking to make some cash. They are aiming for ufc fans with rousey and couture in there.

  Statham isn't exactly what you would call a big star, most of his films are moderate successes at best, and most go straight to DVD, that's not an insult just a fact.
  Even if the actors in the film are older they still have it in them to do action, younger cast are there to do the things that they can't anymore, also to die if anyone gets killed off (because there is no chance they will kill any of the big names incase there is another after).

  The films he's been in have grossed over a billion dollars combined. That's not to shabby by anyone's standards, plus he's one of the few in it that still seem legitimately tough.

  Not saying Statham isn't a draw, but a lot of his films are straight to dvd and minor hits in the cinema, that's not an insult, just a fact.
  I would say that the older actors (Arnie, Stallone etc) are still bigger draws, although not as big a draw to audiences as they used to be.

  I thought the film was good for the most part. Best things about the film : Wesley Snipes and Mel Gibson. Thought they were both fantastic. Worst things about the film : the 12 certificate definatly hurt the film and the younger cast members. I wont give away who they are or how they are involved but i struggled to give a monkeys if they died or not. The certificate needs to be taken back to ideally an 18 ( 15 at a push) for the next one.
