  Out: Jake Bidwell (Brentford, Undisclosed), Jasper Johns (Sheffield United, Free), Conor McAleny (Brentford, Loan), Jan Mucha (Krylia Sovetov Samara, Free).
  Released: Johan Hammer, Thomas Hitzlsperger, Sam Kelly.
  Retired: Phil Neville.
  
  Prediction: 7th
  
  So they’re probably not going to do as well as last season, and Roberto Martinez is probably a touch over-rated (he sort of got Wigan relegated). While the Latics had a fair few options going forward last year, it was the lack of a defence that did for them eventually. At Everton, it’s that problem in reverse, just a less extreme example.
  
  Kone and Deulofeu will do a job though, and no matter how much they throw caution to the wind, the likes of Jagielka and Distin should keep things from getting embarrassing. I’m going for 7th, but with none of the ‘outside chance of a Champions League spot’ chat.

  id be very suprised if they finished outside top seven if they keep their best players. i've seen some highlights of Deulofeu and he looks quality, but it was in spanish second division so you never know. i'm not sure about kone he seems a bit akward and misses alot of chances. they are a very solid team though and if they get a good start should do well.

  I expect them to be between 5th and 8th this season, but if they go on a big run you never know, might somehow squeak top 4. Would be tough for them though with them in Europe league.

  Some decent signings so far, but by the time the bulk of that outlay has been recouped by selling Lukaku, and they've replaced him with Wayne Rooney, will they actually be any better off?
  
  I don't even think Rooney will be completely disastrous for them (10-15 goals and a few assists?) but he's definitely a downgrade.

  Think Everton are mugs if they sell Lukaku to any of their rivals for Europa League places, to be honest surprised Chelsea haven't activated the alleged buy back clause or Liverpool, Man City or Tottenham looked at him for their assault on the Premier League or Champions League this season. And as for Rooney he is at best a midfielder now will maybe score a few goals but is not the attacking force he was but surprised Huddersfield haven't put a bid in rather than buying up Championship players are they planning for relegation already?
