European street cocaine is the purist it's been in over a decade
Everyone seems to be bang on the gear these days - from glamour models to students and politicians. It's freakin everywhere, and it's totally normal for someone to bring along a wrap to the pub on a Friday evening. You know when someone cracks out the chang you're in for a good night.

London had a bit of a dry spell last year in terms of decent coke but things seem to be looking up if these stats from the European Monitoring Centre for Drugs and Drug Addiction (EMCDD) is anthing to go by. According to their reports, the cocaine on the streets is now the strongest and purist it's been in over a decade. Niamh Eastwood, executive director of a drug information charity, explains why this could be:

Quote:As well as increased cocaine production in Latin America, the crackdown on cutting agents by law enforcement in many European countries, including the UK, has seen suppliers limit the risk of detection by removing bulking agents from the supply chain. This is one driver for increased treatment admissions for cocaine and demonstrates the unintended consequences of law enforcement. We need smarter approaches to drugs including ending the criminalisation of people who use illicit substances and law enforcement practices that reduce harms not increase them.

Well I guess that plan backfired for law enforcement. In a bid to clean up our streets they end up cleaning up our drugs. Bravo. It's all good news for Joe Shmo though, who's hooter can now be treated to the finest cocaine money can buy. It makes me all warm tingly just thinking about it.
