Can't say I'm not disappointed but it was always going tough game against Italy and it was the final. I think we played good but we should have slowed the game down and played more passing and scored a good goal from Luke Shaw and we didn't lose in 90 minutes or even extra time and losing only 3-2 on penalties we pushed them all the way. But I think Gareth Southgate put to much presser on Saka I think should have gave the last penalty to a more experienced player. To the world cup year next lets see if we can go a little farther.

okay, so now the dust has settled on the competition we can assess it and make recommendations without the emotion.

    SACK SOUTHGATE

honestly it is the only thing to do. Southgate will not win competitions. he will get us qualified for them. but to win. no he is too negative. do you remember when England got that early goal ? was he excited ? jumping up and down with passion like martin o'neil would ? no ! he had a look of horror on his face and you could just see him thinking "we will never be able to defend for 88 mins" but boy did he try. that second half was all Italy even Chiellini ( should have been sent off ) and Bonucci ( defenders) were attacking. why because they had nothing to do in their own half.. there was a brief break from Declan Rice and it threatened Italy. attacking was the obvious way to go. but we had the most skilled players on the bench. ( now that Grealish has signed for man city for 100 mill i bet Southgate plays him all the time ) and the penalties ??? i remember watching tv as a kid and a player ( i think it was don masson ) missed a penalty and the people in the tv studio said he should not have taken it because he was having a bad game. the best player should take the penalty. now contrast that with 3 players coming on and not having even had a kick taking the penalties in the biggest game of their lives. and such young players too to be set up to fail. it was disgraceful.
    SACK SOUTHGATE.

I was watching the football this afternoon. a magnificent home win over the footballing giants Andorra and i could not help but notice that Harry Kane looks just like 'DOC SAVAGE' man of bronze. anyone else notice that ?

wow England v Poland. Hhmm. England go one nil up and then .... defend Hmmm have we seen this somewhere before. and then Poland come back. OK it was in the last minute ( wait we have seen this before ) actually a one all draw away from home is a pretty good result. win at home and draw away means qualification . but lets imagine it was in the latter stages. say a knockout cup. like i have said before Southgate it the man to get a team there but not to win. this is England a very talented England side at that. lets get an attacking manager to match the players.

really ? you think England will have to play better against Andorra than they did against Poland ? I think Poland are a decent team and i think Andorra will be a walk over. i would expect 5 goals minimum and a clean sheet as well. it is a good time for new players to get a chance. England almost certain to qualify and a weak team, keep the experienced players on the bench just in case but let the youngsters have a go.
